I first saw this door in April of 2016. It is well suited to now be an interior door from the kitchen into the mudroom with no more exterior exposure to the elements! Besides being a wonderful door, to my amazement, truly, I found the door stiles are 1&7/8" thick !! I've never seen an exterior door with solid stiles before, unless it was paneled on both sides, any where in Ct. or Ma. in my five decades of work. They are always 7/8" thick on the front backed by another 7/8" thick vertical or horizontal configuration of boards on the back nailed together. Of course I had to make a model to explain this "NEW" revolutionary construction for all my presentation demonstrations. This carpenter/ cabinetmaker strengthened and simplified the construction immensely. New and improved, he deserves a plaque!! >
