This cupboard, without the door is a replica of the one owned by Nina Fletcher Little of Ipswich, Ma, which was removed from a house in Scotland, Ct. and does not have a door. I knew just the door it wanted, the one from the Rose House Cupboard at the Yale Art Gallery which I made in 2000. The Scotland, Ct. cupboard has no carved rosettes , I added four to the front and I made the triangular panels above the the door moulding a little larger and applied as all of the rest of the mouldings. There is also a pullout tray slide for libations of course, between the doors as on the Little Cupboard. The foliated face filed hinges were made by Bob Valentine a Master Blacksmith from Goshen, Ct. He also made the ones on the Rose House Cupboard previously shown. The interior is shown next. This is the 9th Shell Cupboard and probably the last from my shop, two pairs, three other different ones and two of Nina Fletcher Little's, all from well known Period houses in Connecticut.
