A Connecticut paneled Cupboard / Wardrobe, ca. 1750

This cupboard is a lesson in mortise and tenon joinery and raised panel making. The sides each have two vertical and one bottom horizontal panel, and is about as Connecticut in design as a piece can be. The original was found in a house in Danbury, Ct. and is pictured in Russell Kettell's "Pine Furniture of Early New England " with dimensions shown. A thoroughly fun project! White pine. 1981. Durham, Ct.
