Exhibit:"The First Thirty Years"

Just a different view of the last picture, but, I need to say something about the natural rush seats you see on all these chairs. I met the woman who 'rushed' all of my seats, (excepting about six which I 'put in'), at a Bicentennial demonstration we were working in June 1976. She's around my mothers age so about 54 at the time and I was 23 1/2. Well, I'm thinking this woman's old, I better have her teach me how this is done, correctly, who knows, right ? She's pretty old and just to weak now , but she rushed my last seats in 2016, a set of eight sides, and two armchairs !! She raised five children, and started in her 40's and has rushed and caned thousands of seats for Dealers and individuals all over the western part of Ct. She loved her work, and for her it was as easy as brushing her teeth. Now that, is what is called stamina! We developed a wonderful friendship over those many years. She died at 98 ! I miss her tremendously ! Tempus fugit.
If you want to feel pain in your hands, neck and back, put in a rush seat!
